This major provides you with virtually limitless career opportunities. You may choose to begin your professional path in your concentration area, such as accounting or marketing; you also will be well prepared to pursue graduate study in economics, business or law.
During your senior year, you can be considered for membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon, a prestigious organization of top economics students nationwide. You also may be eligible for the Wall Street Journal Award, given to a graduating Economics–Finance or Managerial Economics student considered by the department to be the most outstanding.
You can participate in programs and activities offered by the Economics–Finance Society, an on-campus group that views the business world from both the theoretical and financial sides. The club schedules a variety of events every semester, such as guest speakers who are financial analysts, venture capitalists and economic advisers.
