Resources

From your first semester to graduation day and beyond, the Miller Center for Career Services (CCS) helps you develop the skills and contacts that pave the way for professional success. The center offers programs and services appropriate for every stage of career planning to students and alumni.

Career Assessment

Having trouble deciding on an academic major or career field? Use resources such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory to learn more about your personality, strengths and weaknesses. A career counselor will help interpret the results and discuss your major and career options, including nontraditional choices.

Individual Career Counseling

The professional counselors who staff the CCS are ready to help you formulate academic and career plans. Make an appointment as early as freshman year to review job market trends, majors and minors, career goals, résumé development and more.

Recruiting Programs

More than 1,400 employers from a range of industries and fields take part in the Campus Recruiting Program, interviewing students throughout the fall and spring semesters. Students can use online resources such as Experience and eRecruiting to learn about open positions and to schedule interviews.

Networking

Making connections is an important part of your college experience. Throughout the year, CCS works with student organizations to host networking events and career panels, which are typically customized by major.

Workshops and Panels

From résumé building and business etiquette to successfully working a room and negotiating a salary, CCS workshops and panel discussions will educate you on a range of career topics.

Interview Preparation

Whether you’re aiming for an internship or a full-time position, excellent preparation is key to hitting the target. CCS workshops and lectures focus on interviewing skills and etiquette. Test your skills further with a mock interview, followed by feedback from the career counseling staff.

Alumni Connections

Some of your best career resources are the students who preceded you at Bentley. Hundreds of alumni in a variety of industries are invited back to campus each year to share insights and network with current students.
