Athletics and Fitness

A well-rounded college experience calls for exercising your body as well as your mind. At Bentley, you can do both. Whether you're looking for a personalized workout plan to stay in shape, the friendly competition of intramurals, or a varsity trophy for your bookshelf, Bentley puts your goals within reach.

Dana Athletic Center

The Dana Athletic Center is a two-level fitness center features weight-training equipment and a state-of-the-art cardio room with treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, and StairMaster and Nautilus equipment. After you’ve worked up an appetite, you can head to the food court featuring Currito and A&W.

Varsity Athletics

Bentley Athletics includes more than 20 varsity teams, which compete at the NCAA Division I and II levels. Bentley is a seven-time winner of the prestigious President’s Cup, presented annually to the best overall athletics program in the Northeast-10 conference. Each year, more than 50 percent of Bentley varsity athletes are named to the Dean’s List or President’s List. Their on-field success has been recognized with All-New England, All-America and Academic All-America honors.

Intramurals

More than 1,600 Bentley students participate in intramural sports. The choices are designed to meet the interests of every student, regardless of athletic skill. Depending on demand, individual sports such as racquetball and tennis have been offered, and the Intramural Sports Office is always open to student requests. There are also a number of personal activities to pursue, such as aerobics, swimming, martial arts, golf and dance.

Club Sports

Run by students through the Office of Student Activities, the club sports teams available at Bentley include men’s and women’s rugby, sailing and cheerleading. The teams work with professional part-time coaches, practice twice a week, and travel on weekends to compete against peers at other schools. Funded by the student activity fee, the clubs play year-round and welcome all students.
